Born in Germany, Dr Anna-Maria Stalberg obtained a diploma in Medicine at the Freie Universität of Berlin in 1992 before going on to complete her post-graduate training, specialising in gynaecology and obstetrics in Geneva.
From 1989 to 1995, she worked as a senior clinician at the Sterility and Endocrinology Clinic of the Maternity sector of Hôpitaux universitaires de Genève (Geneva University Hospitals). She was also responsible for adolescent consultations. After having set up in private practice in 1995, she worked in conjunction with the Champel-Elysée in-vitro fertilisation centre for several years and then with the gametes laboratory in the maternity sector of the HUG.
Dr Stalberg has an FMH (Swiss Medical Association) qualification in gynaecology and obstetrics together with a secondary specialism in gynaecological endocrinology and reproductive medicine. She is a member of several scientific societies in Switzerland (SSMR) and Europe (ESHRE).
She chairs the FIVNAT Suisse Committee. In addition to her work in the private sector, Dr Stalberg continues to work as a consultant in the maternity sector of the HUG.
