Homologous artificial insemination (HAI)

Homologous insemination refers to the insertion of semen from the husband or partner directly into the uterine cavity at the time of ovulation.

Mobile spermatozoa are concentrated and then injected directly into the uterus using a fine catheter inserted through the Cervix uteri.

Insemination is a painless procedure that only takes a few minutes. HAI is indicated in infertility of cervical origin, in the case of male sexual dysfunction or minor alterations in the quality of the semen.
HAI also increases the chances of pregnancy when combined with ovarian stimulation in cases of unexplained infertility.
